Pim Permpoolsomba
Pim Permpoolsombat (b. 1995) lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand. Her artistic practice explores the act of simplification—transforming complex systems of communication into distilled, essential forms. Working across painting, installation, poetry, photography, and sculpture, Pim examines the balance between naturalism and dualism, using these concepts to reveal the underlying structures that shape perception, space, and meaning.
With an academic background in architectural design, Pim brings a refined sensitivity to both function and aesthetics. This training informs her approach to composition, materiality, and spatial awareness, allowing her works to move fluidly between poetic abstraction and structural clarity. Rather than imposing narratives, her works invite quiet observation, encouraging viewers to engage with subtle shifts in color, form, and rhythm.
In 2023, Pim completed her Master’s degree in Art and Ecology at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan, where she further developed her interdisciplinary practice within an international context. She previously earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok in 2018.
Her recent exhibitions include presentations at White Gallery BKK in Bangkok, Milan Design Week, Art Studio Finestreria, and Scalo Lambrate in Milan. Through these exhibitions, Pim’s work has gained recognition for its contemplative atmosphere and its ability to bridge design logic with emotional and ecological awareness.
