About the artist
Artist: Jackson Pollock
Jackson Pollock was an influential American painter and a major force in the Abstract Expressionist movement. He is famous for his unique creation of drip paintings.
Beginning in 1947, using the "drip painting method", the frame was canceled, the huge canvas was laid flat on the ground, and the paint was splashed on the canvas with boxes, sticks or brushes drilled with small holes, and the thin paint was sprayed with the help of a sprayer; the contact with the canvas during painting was not fixed in one position, but walked around the canvas, or crossed over, so that the composition had no center and the structure could not be recognized; repeated unconscious movements were drawn into complex and indistinguishable, disordered lines; the lines on the screen were twisted and twisted, and the color was fickle. The influence of the Surrealist school of painting can be seen in its ultra-indulgent approach to the pursuit of subconsciousness.
