About the artist

With her distinctive artistic style and tireless curiosity, Nina Dissing paints her creative journey on the canvas of life.

When Nina Dissing moved from Viborg to Berlin to pursue a bachelor’s degree in design, the bustling German metropolis became both a crucible for academic growth and a playground for professional exploration. Since returning to her native Denmark, Nina has carved out her own niche as a freelance artist. Her deep love of painting and her exploration of digital illustration in recent years have become central to her art, into which she deliberately incorporates grain and texture.

Nina enjoys traditional media, working with colored pencils, crayons, gouache and watercolor on thick paper. She usually begins with wet materials, then layers details with dry media to create dreamlike landscapes containing mountains, tennis courts and swimming pools. Her love of color runs throughout the work, with bold palettes reflecting her fascination with endless possible combinations.

Inspired by changing seasons, light, and her adventures around the world, Nina carries a sketchbook wherever she goes, capturing both ordinary and extraordinary moments in life and transforming them into lasting works of art.
