Product details
The Everyday Contours series began in 2020, using a distinctive technique that combines colored pencils and crayons. Through drawings of everyday objects and ingredients, the artist explores the relationship between self, daily life and painting. The series continues to grow and has received recognition in the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition. In 2024, the artist self-published Original Form & Round, a book that seeks to recreate the creative process, from repeatedly observing objects to the resulting illustrations.
The six licensed works feature plums that have rolled out of a bag onto a kitchen table; close-knit free-range eggs leaning against one another; brightly colored jujubes on an enamel plate; round, refreshingly sweet-and-tart passion fruit; cooking utensils; and okra that seem to enjoy an afternoon nap.

About the artist
Chen Yijin (nowadays)
Graduated from the Institute of Design, National Taiwan Normal University. Born in 1986, Nantou is a graphic designer and artist. Feeling that "drawing can make you a better person", I like to find the enthusiasm for creation from insignificant and ordinary observations. Want to create something that feels calm and warm. In addition to painting, my favorite things are storing, walking, and getting close to nature.
