Artist: Howard Hodgkin
As one of England's most famous contemporary painters, Howard Hodgkin (1932-2017) had a deep understanding of the interplay of gestures, colors, and the ground. His brush strokes, set against a wooden bracket, often go beyond the picture and extend to the frame, breaking the traditional limitations. He saw time as a constituent element, and his work proved that he was immersed in the invisibility of thoughts, feelings, and fleeting private moments.
This poster was created in 2003 for the poster later in the afternoon (2003). The exhibition features paintings completed between 1999 and 2003 that confront complex emotions such as the passage of time, the loss of friends, and reflection.
