藝術家介紹
約翰·亨利·特沃奇曼（John Henry Twachtman，1853–1902）是美國印象派的重要畫家，其作品以詩意般的田園風光和微妙的光影處理著稱。
他早年在西點軍校主修土木工程，後來轉向藝術，先後師從弗蘭克·杜韋內克（Frank Duveneck），並於1875–1877年間赴慕尼黑皇家美術學院深造，其畫風初期深受慕尼黑學院陰影處理與鬆散筆觸影響。1883–1885年，他又在巴黎雅各林畫室（Académie Julian）學習，作品色調轉向柔和的灰綠色調，創作出包括《阿爾克農橋》（Arques-la-Bataille，現藏大都會博物館）與《春光》（Springtime，現藏辛辛那提藝術館）等公認傑作 。
