Title: Traversing 02 Artwork medium: Oil-based woodcut print (single-plate reproduction) Year created: 2023 Edition: 15 in total, signed by the artist.
Drawing on symbols and signals commonly seen at intersections that relate to “crossing,” the work combines the characteristics of oil-based woodblock printing with the overlapping effects of transparent and opaque fields of color. The division of color fields across the composition lets vision and consciousness cross between images, giving rise to multiple layers of meaning associated with crossing.
Paper size: 265(H) x 195 mm Image dimensions: 150 x 150 mm
Dimensions including mounting and frame: 400 x 400mm * Please message us to discuss any other ideas.
Mounting method: basic mounting + mat board (a window mat is placed in front of the work, covering approximately 2mm along one edge of the paper so that only part of the paper is visible)
* The artwork will be mounted flat on a backing board to prevent it from warping due to moisture.
* If you upgrade to acid-free mat board, acid-free adhesive dots will be used to hold the print in place; it can still be separated from the backing board and removed.

The work often inhabits the gray area of contradictions between imagery and the language of materials, constantly moving back and forth between figuration and abstraction, creating softness within hardness, and lingering between sky and earth.
