Artist: Clara Selina Bach
Clara Selina Bach’s art reflects her passion for storytelling, cultural exploration, and vibrant expression. At different stages of her creative process, sketches organically develop into striking illustrations and paintings.
Clara Selina Bach graduated from the School of Design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen with a master’s degree in Visual Communication and Culture. Since completing her degree, she has worked as an independent illustrator and graphic artist, eager to run her own business and explore distinctive forms of illustration.
From a very young age, Clara enjoyed telling stories and expressing her creativity. Although she considered more “practical” career paths, such as psychology or anthropology, her passion for understanding people, relationships, and cultural behavior has continued to influence her work, as is evident in the images she creates today.
Explore Clara’s world of color art in depth
Her love of depicting people, animals, nature, and urban life, together with her fascination with color, forms the foundation of her artistic identity. She finds inspiration in everyday life, memories, popular culture, and ancient art; this wealth of influences is echoed in the organic forms of her work. Paying close attention to the colors around her, she experiments with different palettes and uses acrylic paint, colored pencils, and liquid ink to convey stories, moods, and emotions.
Clara’s artistic process unfolds in stages. Sketches made using digital tools and traditional methods evolve organically as she works. Once a sketch captures the essence of her vision, she brings the image to life through drawing or painting. This dynamic process, marked by its inherent unpredictability, is what truly fuels her artistic passion.
