【Artwork Title】Thalassa IV
【Artist’s Statement】Using a landscape of open space as its visual language, a black curtain above quiets the noise, pressing the island, lighthouse, reefs, and tide line toward the bottom edge of the image. The title Thalassa, from the ancient Greek Thálassa, means “sea” or “ocean.” It turns the sea from a scenic destination into an instrument of perception, inviting viewers to hear their own breathing in the silence.
