Series 1: Cinematic Abstracts
Inspired by classic films, this series transforms stories, scenes and emotions that moved the artist into abstract visual forms. Geometric elements—circles representing characters or complete chapters of a story, and lines evoking memories, emotional scars or subtle connections between people—blur the contours of a specific narrative. Viewers are invited to reinterpret these fragments in an imaginative space without boundaries.

About the artist
Born in Taipei, Chiaoyi Chang is a multidisciplinary designer and creator. Her work is centered around the concept of “lines,” constructing visual compositions through geometric forms. By blending a designer’s structured approach with the expressive nature of freehand exploration, she investigates the relationships between imagery, the human body, and space—extending this dynamic balance of freedom and structure into her design practice.
In 2021, she was awarded the MOE Scholarship for Overseas Study in Arts and Design and pursued further studies at Musashino Art University in Japan, broadening her international artistic perspective. She earned her Master’s degree in Communication Design from Shih Chien University (SCU) in 2023. Now working as a freelance designer and creator, she continues to explore new possibilities across diverse creative fields.
