About the artist
Oscar-Claude Monet (French pronunciation:; 14 November 1840 - 5 December 1926) was a French painter, one of the representatives and founders of Impressionism, whose masterpiece, Impression Sunrise, inspired the word "Impression", which was exhibited in 1874 in the first independent exhibition by Monet and his colleagues.
Being good at experimenting and expressing light and shadow, the most important style is to change the way shadows and outlines are drawn. There are no very clear shadows in his paintings, and there are no accentuated or flat outlines. In addition, his use of color is quite delicate, and he has long explored the perfect expression of experimental color and light, often depicting the same object in different times and light.
